My purpose in life is to solve for humanity in the workplace.

I’m the youngest of 8 kids; to say I was raised in a competitive marketplace is an understatement.

I learned early that if I wanted to stand out, I had to find my unique voice. Moreover, the world I grew up in was defined by civil unrest: race riots, the Vietnam War, and the women’s movement were in full swing. In response to the injustice they witnessed around them, my parents, a theology teacher and shirt salesman turned executive from the midwest, instilled in each of us a call to service and a responsibility to lead through our own distinct talents.

“I have always held a deep personal belief that investing in people and creating a more equitable world is the key to unlocking growth for both business and society.”

In no small part, my career has been influenced by my upbringing. With a doctorate in Social Work and Organizational Psychology, I have always held a deep personal belief that investing in people and creating a more equitable world is the key to unlocking growth for both business and society. Today’s leaders are dealing with a myriad of complex challenges as we navigate another era of vast cultural, geopolitical, and technical change. And yet, if business is to thrive in the future, leaders will need to face these winds head on and embrace a fundamental shift in mindset about how we engage and empower people at work.

In collaborating with executives to meet these ends, I draw on over three decades of leadership experience to place humans at the heart of their organizations. Before my last role as Global Lead for Talent & Organization at Accenture, I served as a senior executive at Apple and Managing Principal at Deloitte. I have wide-ranging industry experience with a particular interest in life sciences, finance, services, consumer goods, material and energy resources, and of course, as a former professional athlete, sports.

I often joke that I have a Gen Z mind trapped in a Baby Boomer body. Just like our youngest working generation, I feel that time's up on business as usual. In this next chapter, I am eager to find opportunities to leverage my years of experience and expertise to revolutionize the way we value humanity at work and build people-centered strategies that benefit and build greater futures for all.

“Time's up on business as usual.”
